The Qld police linked shooters to ‘premillennialism’ but what the ‘Domestic terrorists’ believed was far from normal Christian teaching

The Queensland police have labelled the beliefs of the Wieambilla, police shooters as  “premillennial” – which is an unfair summary of their beliefs.

On Monday December 12, 2022 four police came under fire by Nathaniel, Gareth and Stacey Train after attending a property in Wieambilla, Queensland. Constable Matthew Arnold, 26, and Constable Rachel McCrow, 29, and a neighbour Alan Dare, 56, were shot by the Train family and killed. The Trains died in the siege that followed.

The ABC reported Deputy Police Commissioner Tracy Linford  said “The Train family members subscribe to what we would call a broad Christian fundamentalist belief system, known as premillennialism.”

Premillennialism is one of the common views about the future Christians hold, centred around a thousand-year period prophesied in the Book of Revelation. It is less prevalent among Australian Evangelicals than in the US.

The real beliefs of Gareth Train, the leader of the shooters, defy easy categories, but ‘premillennial’ does not capture it.

Tom Tanuki, a researcher of fringe political groups has uncovered a series of posts by Gareth Train including a piece he wrote for a site known as  Cairns News in which he speaks of a jesuit conspiracy.

A picture of Tim Fischer, the late National’s politician is captioned “Former Deputy PM … who disarmed Australians after the government’s psy-op massacre in Port Arthur in 1996.”

Train’s cairn’s News piece begins “How did we get here? Intelligence operation after intelligence operation, false flag after false flag, instilling fear into a retarded populous distracted by sports and beer to install totalitarian corporate Jesuit government muppets.”

He then makes it clear who he blames by quoting what he claims to be a “Jesuit manifesto.”

“You have been taught your duty as a spy, to gather all statistics, facts and information in your power from every source; to ingratiate yourself into the confidence of the family cirde of Protestants and heretics of every dass and character, as well as that of the merchant, the banker, the lawyer, among the schools and universities, in parliaments and legislatures, and the judiciaries and  councils of state, and to be all things to all men, for the Pope’s sake, whose servants we are unto death.”

Somewhat incoherently he immediately blames Freemasons as well. “There is no membership list of the Jesuit order but their co-collaborators, the Masonic brotherhood continues to be proud of their involvement and have always been happy to advertise their membership. The founding Director-General of Security and head of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) 1949 Sir Geoffrey Sandford Reed, KC, a Freemason and grand master (1953-56) of the grand lodge of South Australia.”

Even the protest organisations (we think he means anti-vaxxers and others on the right) should be treated with suspicion. “It’s unlawful to name or identify an active Jesuit ASI agent and will result in your disappearance into the bowels of the corrupt Jesuit judicial system, institutionalised as a number without a voice. Therefore I suggest you look doser at the protest organisers and those leading the opposition before you are led straight off a diff and you are used as part ofanother false flag.”

People of the very conservative parts of Australian politics are attacked. Ricardo Bosi, a former army officer who ran Cory Bernardi’s Australian Conservatives Party NSW candidate for the Senate in (2019), is dismissed as a member of the “’Jesuit Order Cabal” in a comment by train on an Australian sovereign citizen website . (Sovereign citizen is a far-right anarchist movement that asserts personal autonomy from any state.)

A revealing 2020 comment by Gareth Train: “The CIA (aka Jesuit Cabal) invented the web to infiltrate, manipulate and CONTROL. Social media was created to usurp (embedded with MK programming) unintel services have always been up in your shit and had the ability to take over a person’s online account, collect intelligence from online networks, and add, copy, delete or alter your data.

And another by 2021: “Yes, Australia has been at the front of the Luciferian agenda for some time as Vince indicates. Government, Health authorities, Universities, religious organisations wereall infiltrated from inception. It’s a bought and paid for country – us Gates of Hell Corp. Gates, the Anastazi Qld Gov, family business and the UQ are all in bed together. Vaxx, genetics, bio warfare toxins and venoms, Al and drone tec you name it.”

A friend of The Other Cheek has discovered a cache of train family videos, still up on Vimeo at the time of reporting this story.

They reveal how the family used Scripture, focusing on the deuterocanonical book of 2 Esdras (sometimes called 4 Ezra) , accepted by the Catholic church and some branches of the Orthodox Churches.

Stacey Train is heard reciting 2 Esdras about 30 minutes into the tape. ” Hear my words, O my people; prepare for battle, and in the midst of the calamities be like strangers on the earth.”

The use of 2 Esdras places the Trains well outside Premillennialism, because virtually all premillennialists are protestants. Catholics are amillenial,  which is the majority Christian view.

Were Gareth Train and the other shooters pre-millennial. Technically, they may be, somewhere in the trove of documentation the police have been examining there may be some premillennial teaching.

But it is an unfair label. Their conspiracy theories lie well outside beyond any common Christian doctrine,

  1. Thanks for extra details over this. If you want an example of premillennialism being a force for good in society, my mum attended a Salvos presentation on Revelation which promoted a non-tribulation premillennialism which spurred their members on to support their community before Jesus returns. It is at least clear to me that isolationism caused these shooters to go deep into more conspiratorial versions of Christianity. Still something that we should be gravely concerned about as the world becomes more interconnected to more fringe views; we must not see this type of conspiracy as mainstream.

    • Absolutely. It’s so hard to reason with people so caught up in the extreme theories, I try sometimes but it’s pretty disheartening. But they must be challenged.

  2. Excellent, thanks for addressing this. I’m historic premillennial (not dispensational) and it’s pretty horrifying to hear any type of premillennialism spoken of an an extreme ideology. I guess at least some people are now learning what it means!
