In May, my grandfather Ken Clezy AM, OBE passed away. I have tried to sum up something of his remarkable life.
Ken Clezy was among Australia’s most decorated surgeons: honoured with an OBE, an AM, and medals from his own college and from the neurosurgeons besides.
He spent his career in Papua New Guinea, Tasmania and Yemen, where hospital grocery runs required a soldier escort with an AK-47.
